Lisa Seyer, of Cape Girardeau, a student at Southeast Missouri State University, is recipient of a scholarship award from the Cape Girardeau County Legal Secretaries Association.
Seyer, who has a 3.0 grade point average this year, will start her second year this fall.
She plans to obtain a Legal Secretarial Certificate.
Seyer, whose father was in the Army, lived in Germany three years. She has lived in Cape Girardeau five years and hopes to make it her permanent residence.
