SCHOLARSHIPS

• Elizabeth Caldwell of Cape Girardeau received the Presidential Scholarship for Academic Excellence to attend St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind.

HONORS

• Kyla Mouser of Patton, Mo., earned the American FFA Degree for academic and professional excellence.
• Catherine Moreton of Cape Girardeau and Kyle Sutherlin of Jackson made the dean's list at Washington University in St. Louis for the spring 2008 semester.
• Jordan Vincent of Jackson will attend the People to People Leadership Forum from Sept. 8 to 14 in Washington, D.C.
• Eric Ennis, Casie Janet, Emily Meystedt, Sara Meystedt, Robin Phelps and Jayson Spain of Cape Girardeau and Emily Hederson of Delta made the dean's list at Murray State University in Murray, Ky., for the spring 2008 semester.

GRADUATIONS

• Andrew Eaton of Cape Girardeau has received a master's degree in bioscience from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He is part of the 2012 medical school class there and participated in a "white coating" ceremony Aug. 7.
• Jennifer Taylor of Cape Girardeau has graduated with a doctorate in audiology from Washington University in St. Louis.

SCHOOL NEWS

• Kelly Elementary Library will hold a preschool story hour from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursdays. The theme for Sept. 4 is cooperation.
