What the tax would fund

The proposed parks and storm-water tax issue would fund the following 12 storm-water abatement projects:

• Detention and runoff control at Arena Creek Park, along Optimist Drive, and at Lisa Street retention basin
• Channel stabilization at Breckenridge Branch and the Dorothy Street drainage area

Street flooding

n Cape Rock Drive at Scivally Park

• Themis Street at Silver Springs Road
• Howell Street at Scivally Fork
• Margaret and Janet streets
• 2400 block of Melrose Street

Replacement and repair

n Merriwether drainage tunnel

• Beaver Creek retention basin

Flood control

n LaSalle retention basin flood monitor
