The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for all of Southeast Missouri today due to high fire danger.
The warning is in effect until 6 p.m.
Low humidity and winds between 10 and 20 miles per hour have created an elevated risk of fire across the region, the weather service said in its warning. The warning means that outdoor burning is discouraged.
