Vehicles parked in certain downtown areas will be towed if not moved for car show

Vehicles parked in specific areas in downtown Cape Girardeau early Sunday will be towed at the owner�s expense, ahead of the River Tails Car Show and Grass Roots Vintage Motorcycle Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, the Cape Girardeau police department announced Friday.

Vehicles parked in the following areas need to be moved by 5 a.m. Sunday:

• Main Street between Broadway and William Street
• Themis Street between Water and Spanish streets
• All of Art Van Furniture�s parking lot at 43 S. Main St.
• South Spanish Street between Independence and Merriwether streets
• The Cape Riverfront Market lot at 35 S. Spanish St.
