North Sprigg Street between Bertling Street and Lexington Avenue will be closed to through traffic for utility construction Friday. The street will reopen Friday evening and remain open for the holiday weekend.
The street will close again to through traffic Tuesday through the end of the week. Motorists not living in the area are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The utility work is in connection with the new Fire Station No. 3 north of Blanchard Elementary School.
