The National Weather Service is predicting that the Cape Girardeau area could receive up to 3 inches of snowfall tonight. Meteorologist Alex Dodd said rain likely will change over to wet snow between 5 and 8 p.m.
"Roads may be slick in the early morning hours Saturday but for most of the day they should be fine," Dodd said.
Dodd said a potential for another snow event is possible Sunday night through Tuesday, though he ruled out speculating on any accumulations.
