"That's still an open investigation, but it is not considered to be related to the others," said Cape Girardeau police detective Joe Tado.

  • Lowes and Drusch Law Firm, 2913 Independence St., where a July 4 fire caused an estimated $3,000 in damage. Jeffrey V. Mirgeaux, 47, of Cape Girardeau was convicted in October of second-degree arson for the fire. On Feb. 24, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
