Traffic on northbound Interstate 55 slowed for several hours Tuesday night when a tractor-trailer cab caught fire. According to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, two units each from Cape Girardeau and the East County fire departments and one unit from Jackson were dispatched to mile marker 101 around 7:45 p.m. The truck was carrying tires. The fire was contained to the cab, and there were no injuries.
