His son, Jack Oliver, praised the name change in a speech Wednesday to the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers at the University of Missouri Law School in Columbia.
Jack Oliver said his father was a strong advocate of the trial academy for law-school students, faculty and practicing lawyers.
