TOURS IN EAST

Ann Swanson, manager of Gulliver's Travel Agency in Cape Girardeau, recently toured areas in the Wilkes-Barre area of Pennsylvania.

She toured the Lackawanna Mine, in operation since Civil War days, and Eckley Miners Village, site of original miners' homes, stores and mine pits, which were featured in the movie, "The Molly Maguires."

Swanson was presented the keys to Wilkes-Barre. The community is about two hours north of Philadelphia near the Pocono Mountains resort area.
