According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Chassidy L. Ratley hydroplaned, ran off the road and struck a tree one mile west of Vanduser, Mo., on Route DD at 7 p.m.
Ratley was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was not wearing a seat belt.
