A 73-year-old occupant of the house was helped to safety by a neighbor before the fire quickly spread, killing the surviving woman's 74-year-old husband, a 90-year-old woman and the boy, St. Louis Fire Department spokeswoman Kim Bacon said.

The victims' names were not immediately released.
