A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a one-car accident Sunday on County Road 439 one mile north of Jackson.
According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, Jason M. Kirby of Jackson was alone at the time of the accident in a 1998 Jeep. The accident occurred about 11 a.m. when Kirby failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road, striking a tree.
He was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center.
