TAX ACCREDITATION

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Thomas Higgins of Cape Girardeau has completed requirements for nationally-recognized accreditation in taxation.

The Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT) awarded the accredited status to Higgins after he passed a six-hour formal examination, administered by ACAT.

Higgins, who operates a tax services firm here, is one of only 10,000 individuals in the nation to earn this recognition.
