Stormwater flows under the pedestrian bridge at Dennis Scivally Park as rain falls Saturday in Cape Girardeau. Parts of Cape Girardeau received at least 3 inches of rain and Jackson at least 4   inches Saturday morning. The concrete bridge with stone facing was built in 1941 by Dennis M. Scivally over a tributary of Walker Branch. Scivally was the chief engineer of the Cape Special Road District. The park, located at Cape Rock Drive and Brookwood Drive,  was named for Scivally in 1935.
