Storm repairs lead to power outage for some Jackson homes, businesses

Approximately 225 customers of Jackson Power and Light lost power briefly Monday morning as city crews repaired damage to power lines caused by an overnight lightning strike. The Jackson Public Works Department said customers, both residential and business, on Jackson Boulevard and Michael Anna Street from Gerald Street to Hope Street and Hope Street from Jackson Boulevard to Main Street were without electricity for up to 30 minutes.
