State to fly flags at half-staff to honor trooper

All flags at state facilities will be flown at half-staff in honor of Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Kevin Floyd, Gov. Matt Blunt said. Floyd was killed Thursday when he was hit by a pickup truck during a traffic stop along U.S. 60 in Texas County. Flags will remain at half-staff until dusk on the evening of the funeral.
