St. Mary mosaic blessed Monday

Students crowd around Bishop James Vann Johnston Jr. as he blesses the new mosaic inside St. Mary of the Annunciation Grade School after Mass on Monday morning in Cape Girardeau. It took artist Cece Boos a year-and-a-half of working nights and weekends to create the glass-tile mosaic of her own design. Boos used a handheld tile cutter and glass grinder to create the different shapes and sizes of tiles in the design. "What a wonderful opportunity," Boos said.
