ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis police commander is dead following an accident at his home.
Lieutenant Robert Cooney, commander of the Mobile Reserve Unit, died Tuesday after falling from the roof of his residence.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital from injuries sustained in the fall.
Cooney was 43 and a 19-year veteran of the police department. He is survived by his wife and their two children.
