ST. LOUIS -- One of the bridges crossing the Mississippi River at St. Louis was briefly closed Wednesday due to a bomb scare, but nothing suspicious was found.
Bomb and arson investigators were called in around noon after a book bag was found on the Eads Bridge. The bag did not contain anything suspicious, and the bridge was reopened after a little more than an hour.
The bridge connects St. Louis and East St. Louis, Ill.
