Soybean acreage in Missouri may be the largest in the past five years.
A total of 5.5 million acres this year is up about seven percent over 1990 totals. Soybean growers in the U.S. planted, or intend to plant, 59.8 million acres, three percent above 1990 plantings.
The spring planting season got off to a slow start in Missouri.
