A Southeast Missouri woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident in New Madrid County Tuesday afternoon.

Florence Minehart, 68, of Kewanee was killed when her car ran off the road and struck a utility pole and tree, said a spokesman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 1:22 p.m. on Route W about six miles north of New Madrid.
