Eighth-grader Wyatt Means, 13, center, causes his opponent to lose a life while playing in the final bracket of the Super Smash Bros. esports competition, hosted by the Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation, on Wednesday at Cape Girardeau Junior High School. His coaches, mother, brother and other teammates cheered him on. Means ultimately ranked 31st in the state, playing at the high school level.
