Single-vehicle accident closes one lane of I-55 for brief time

A truck pulling a 16-foot trailer left the southbound lane of Interstate 55 and struck a guardrail near mile marker 98 in Cape Girardeau this morning, closing one lane of the roadway for about 40 minutes, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
