Just a few homes on North High Street near Jackson City Park lost power around 1:15 p.m. Friday when a vehicle struck a utility pole.
Mark Baker, a lineman with the city of Jackson, said workers would have to bring in a new power pole and a new transformer. The outage was so minor because of the pole that was hit.
"It could have worse," Baker said. "At least no one was hurt."
