SIKESTON - The Veterans Day parade scheduled for Saturday is canceled.
"Everyone here at the station and others in the community have worked so hard to put this parade together. We are all very disappointed," said Bill Powers, operations manager at KSIM Radio.

He said the reason for the cancellation is due to lack of participation.
Powers said an effort will be made to hold the parade next year. A target date of Nov. 7, 1998, is set.
