Sikeston man killed in weekend car accident
SIKESTON, Mo. - A Sikeston man is dead after a single vehicle accident over the weekend. Just before 10 p.m. Saturday, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route ZZ, west of U.S. 61. Just before 10 p.m. Saturday, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route ZZ, west of U.S. 61. Officers found a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, 44-year-old Paul Burks of Sikeston, was partially ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
