Shop with a Hero

The Shop with a Hero event Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Cape Girardeau Walmart. The annual event allows area children, ages five to twelve, to shop with law enforcement officers, firefighters and other first responders from area agencies using funds provided by community sponsors, civic organizations and the volunteers themselves. This year 100 children were chosen by local schools to participate, each going through the store to purchase gifts fro themselves and others with a volunteer.
