Scott County bridge reopens after repairs

The Route Z bridge over Drainage Ditch No. 2 in Scott County was reopened Friday, marking the 300th bridge improved through the Missouri Department of Transportation's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. By the end of the year, it is estimated 325 to 330 bridges will be opened to traffic statewide. In 2011, 330 bridge projects are scheduled statewide, 86 in Southeast Missouri.
