Michele Crook of Scott City has been awarded the Price Doyle Memorial Scholarship by Murray State University's department of music.
Crook is a 1993 graduate of Scott City High School. She will be a junior this fall at Murray State in Murray, Ky.
She plays clarinet in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and sings in the Murray State Chorale. She plans to major in music education.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Crook of Scott City.
