SCHOOL SPONSORS FOOD DRIVE

The Cape Central Student Council is promoting its annual canned food drive through Friday.

The cans will be donated to the Salvation Army for its Thanksgiving dinner. Several needy families also will receive Thanksgiving baskets with items purchased by the student council.

The group hopes to collect 2,000 cans. Collection boxes will be placed in the main office, and community members are also invited to participate in the food drive.
