The River Campus remains a quiet place today. There's little to announce the impending construction except for a construction trailer parked in one corner of the property.
But by August that could change as the first real construction gets underway to transform the vacant, former Catholic seminary into a new visual and performing arts school for Southeast Missouri State University at a cost that is expected to be over $36 million.
