The Salvation Army held its Red Kettle Kickoff on Thursday at West Park Mall. The Christmas campaign goal of $300,000 was announced by Capt. Ronnie Amick, pictured far right. Joining the kickoff were advisory chairman Brent Wills, left; Jackson Mayor Dwain Hahs; and Cape Girardeau Mayor Harry Rediger. Ice cream was provided by Andy's Frozen Custard to recognize this being the 125th year of kettles.
