  • The Red House gift shop, gardens, murals and tours are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
  • At 11 a.m. June 14, a program titled "French Canadian Influence in Southeast Missouri" will be presented by Linda Clark Nash, historian, educator and grant writer. Nash's primary focus is the early history of Missouri, particularly the French and Spanish periods. The focus of her presentation is based on her extensive research into the life of Pierre Louis de Lorimier (Cape Girardeau's founder), his contemporaries and French colonial life on the Missouri frontier.
  • At 2 p.m. June 15, the Red House will have Creole music with Dennis and Jennifer Stroughmatt.
  • At 1 p.m. June 21, Steve Strom will present the program "Building a French Colonial House."
  • At 1:30 p.m. June 22, the Louis J. Lorimier Downtown Golf Tournament and all-you-can-eat catfish dinner will be held for golfers and nongolfers on two courses: urban golf in downtown Cape or at the River Campus. The $25 fee includes a Birdie ball, carpet square, use of your own club and catfish. The first 100 golfers receive a free T-shirt. For more information, call Cape Parks and Recreation Department at 335-5421. The deadline for entry is June 18.
  • At 10:30 a.m. June 28, the Red House presents storytelling with Dean Allison.
