UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Police are looking for suspects in the slaying of a 22-year-old suburban St. Louis woman who was pregnant with her first child.
The grandmother of Shamika Herman entered the University City home at around 1:00 p.m. Thursday and found the woman unconscious. Relatives said Herman was beaten to death.
Police Capt. Michael Ransom said investigators believe the slaying was not a random act.
