Police respond to two-vehicle accident at William and Frederick

Cape Girardeau rescue workers clear an overturned Honda CR-V at the scene of an accident at Frederick and William streets in Cape Girardeau on Thursday. Police said the accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. when a black Chevrolet Cavalier failed to stop at the stop sign while traveling south on Frederick Street and struck the side of the Honda, which was traveling west on William Street, causing it to roll over. The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital by ambulance; the driver of the Chevrolet sustained only minor injuries. Neither car had passengers.
