A gas line rupture Wednesday afternoon shut down traffic in one area of Jackson.
A dispatcher with the Jackson Police Department said shortly before 4:30 p.m. that traffic was blocked in the area around Missouri and West Mary streets as utility workers try to fix a natural gas line rupture. A large evacuation wasn't ordered. Atmos Energy workers were on scene trying to fix the leak.
