CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- An investigation is under way after a small plane landed without its landing gear down.
No one was hurt in the belly landing around 10 p.m. Tuesday at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield. Three people were on board. The plane sustained minor damage.
It wasn't clear Wednesday if there was a malfunction in the landing gear or if the pilot simply forgot to put the gear down.
