These veiled performers are unidentified. They may have been rehearsing for the Follies. Judy Triplett of Greers Ferry, Ark., recognized her mother -- Dorothy Bridwell -- among these harem dancers. She is the second from the right. Triplett said the photo of the Jaycees' Follies performers was probably taken in 1961 or '62 at either Central High School or the college.

National officers of the Business and Professional Women’s organization stopped here Monday where they were joined by Cape Girardeau BPWC members on the way to a Sikeston luncheon meeting in observance of National Business Women’s Week. From left are Miss Olive Houston of  Xenia, Ohio, Women’s Week chairman; Miss Virginia A. Allen of Wyandotte, Mich., national president; Mrs. Jess Tartart, Cape Girardeau president, and Miss Bernadette Hoche, Mrs. Clarence Suedekum, Miss Ida Daume and Mrs. H.K. Carter, members here.
