Her son, Mychal Douglas "Silky" Byrd, 40, died in September from injuries he sustained in a crash at the site in late July. Before his death, Byrd told Kellum he'd been purposefully run off the road by another driver. Kellum and her insurance company believe Byrd was wrongfully killed, but police say there isn't evidence to support that claim.
