Pet squirrel that stopped burglary returns to wild

BOISE, Idaho -- A pet squirrel that gained fame by thwarting a home burglary has returned to the wild. Adam Pearl said Joey climbed onto his shoulder for a goodbye earlier this month, then scampered up a backyard apple tree at his home and hasn't been seen since. Pearl said friends found Joey on the ground last summer after he fell out of his nest.
