According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, John G. Wagner, 59, was traveling on Route T 1.8 miles east of Route CC in Perry County when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the road and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Perry County Coroner Herb Miller. Wagner was wearing a seat belt.
