Patton woman injured in accident
Southeast Missourian PATTON, Mo. -- A 71-year-old Patton woman was seriously injured Saturday when her vehicle backed across a highway and struck a tree. Lilian E. Martin was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau after the 2:30 p.m. accident. Lilian E. Martin was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau after the 2:30 p.m. accident. It occurred on Route A, one-tenth of a mile west of state Highway 51 near Patton in Bollinger County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, she was not wearing a seat belt.
