PART OF EASTBOUND BROADWAY CLOSED

Construction of new sewers will disrupt traffic on Broadway for about three weeks.

Since Tuesday at 4 p.m., the eastbound lane of Broadway from Henderson to Harmony has been closed. Traffic is being diverted south on Henderson to Harmony and east on Harmony to Broadway, said Cpl. David Sanders of the Cape Girardeau Polic Department.

Westbound traffic on Broadway continues on Broadway. he said.

City officials told him that the disruption would last until the middle of June, Sanders said.
