Part of Broadway to close at 1 p.m.

Part of Broadway will be closed this afternoon while the city makes emergency repairs to sewer lines, according to the city of Cape Girardeau's public information office.

The closure begins at 1 p.m. in the 700 block of Broadway between North Ellis Street and North Sprigg Street. Traffic will be detoured during the closure.

Drivers are urged to consider alternate routes.
