Parked car struck on Themis Street

Chelsea Sterling opens a door to her Hyundai Elantra after the parked car was involved in an accident with a pickup truck Friday, April 18, 2014 on Themis Street, just west of the Ellis Street intersection in Cape Girardeau. The car was facing east and not occupied. The truck was westbound on Themis when it ran the stop sign at Ellis Street, struck a northbound Buick Regal, spinning it into a utililty pole, and continued into Sterling's car. The impact took out a tree stump along the sidewalk. There were no injuries reported. (Fred Lynch)
