@graphic_body_indent w-bullet:n 12:30 p.m. Dec. 1: Participants will meet at the Jackson Pizza Hut to attend the Jackson Christmas parade. The event is free and open to the public.

• 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5, 12 and 19: Line dance lessons will be offered at Eagles Aerie No. 3775, 321 N. Spring Ave., Cape Girardeau. Beginner lessons are at 6 p.m. There is a cost. Open to the public.
• 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 7: Parents Without Partners will hold a general meeting and orientation program at Riverside Regional Library, 204 S. Union St., in Jackson. The event is free and open to the public. It will include a cookie recipe swap, so attendees are asked to bring 25 copies of a recipe. Those attending are also invited to bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards.
• Dec. 8: Parents Without Partners will travel to Patti's Restaurant near Paducah, Ky., for lunch and to view the Christmas decorations. The event is open to the public, and the cost is the price of the meal. Call 335-0797 for the meeting place and time.
• 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Dec. 15: The annual community service dance to benefit the Toybox and Toys For Tots programs will be held at the VFW in Cape Girar-deau. The event is open to the public. Both singles and couples are invited, and there is a discounted admission price for Parents Without Partners members. The music will be by J&K Sound. The theme is glitter and glitz.
• 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 21: Parents Without Partners will hold a board meeting and orientation program at Riverside Regional Library, 204 S. Union St., in Jackson. The event is free and open to the public. Those attending are invited to bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play games.
• 1 p.m. Dec. 30: Participants will meet at Cape West 14 Cine in Cape Girardeau for a PWP-sponsored family activity. There is no fee for members' children or two grandchildren up to age 18.
• 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31: The Parents Without Partners New Year's Eve dance will be at Cape American Legion on Thomas Drive. The music will be by Let's Dance. The event is open to all singles and couples, and the cost is discounted for members.
