• Parents Without Partners will attend line dance lessons from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at Eagles Aerie 3775, 321 N. Spring Ave., Cape Girardeau. Beginner lessons start at 6 p.m. Open to the public. There is a cost.
• A general meeting/orientation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 4 at Riverside Regional Library, Union and Adams streets in Jackson. The meeting is open to the public. Laura Stroder of the Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging will present "Elders Volunteering for Elders." Bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards.
• PWP will have a family activity attending the movies at 1 p.m. Jan. 6 at Cape West 14 Cine. Meet there. Cost is free for members' children or two grandchildren up to age 18.
• A PWP Divorce Recovery Series & Discussion Group will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at Riverside Regional Library in Jackson. Bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards or learn a new game, spades.
• There will be a board/orientation meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at Riverside Regional Library in Jackson. The meeting is open to the public. Bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play games.
• A "Snowball Dance" sponsored by Parents Without Partners will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 19 at Cape Girardeau VFW. The dance is open to the public and all singles and couples are welcome. Music by TJ Jackson sound system.
• PWP will meet at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Cape Bowling Lanes. Cost is free to members' children or two grandchildren up to age 18.
• PWP Divorce Recovery Series & Discussion Group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 25 at Riverside Regional Library in Jackson. Come, bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards.
