Overnight Cape fire damages home; no one hurt

According to a release from the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, crews responded to 1305 Victoria Drive around 3:10 a.m. and upon arrival found heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage of a one-story house.

No one was injured. The garage sustained heavy fire and smoke damage and the house sustained light smoke damage. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
